Abstracts
When does abstract submission open?
Abstract submission is expected to open in 01 June 2026 with a deadline in 31 December 2026. Exact dates will be announced on the website and via email to registered and pre-registered participants.
What types of submissions are accepted?
WorldLeish8 accepts abstracts for oral presentations and poster presentations. Symposium proposals can also be submitted seperately “Symposium Proposal Submission and Guideline” section.
How do I submit an abstract?
Abstract submission is completed through the Participant Portal in the following steps: 1) Complete your congress registration to obtain your portal login credentials. 2) Log in to the Participant Portal at worldleish8.org/Participant/Login. 3) Download the abstract template from the Abstract Topics page and prepare your abstract accordingly. 4) Select the most appropriate scientific topic from the 10 available categories. 5) Choose your preferred presentation format (oral or poster). 6) Upload your completed abstract through the portal and submit. You will receive a confirmation notification once your submission has been received. You can track the review status of your abstract at any time through the portal.
Accommodation
How do I book accommodation?
The official congress hotel is Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek. You can make your accommodation reservation directly during the registration process on this website. No separate booking is required.
What is the all-inclusive system? How is WorldLeish8 different from a typical congress?
Unlike most international scientific congresses — where participants pay only a registration fee and arrange their own accommodation and meals separately — WorldLeish8 operates on a fully all-inclusive basis. Your congress registration fee covers your stay at the Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek, including all meals, beverages, and on-site services throughout the congress dates (6–10 April 2027). There is no need to make a separate hotel reservation. All accommodation, meals, and daily needs are included in the congress package, allowing you to focus entirely on the scientific programme.
Do I need to arrange my own roommate for shared accommodation?
Yes. For all room types other than single occupancy, participants are responsible for arranging their own roommates. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide the details of the person you wish to share your room with. Please coordinate with your preferred roommate before completing your registration. The organizing committee does not arrange or match roommates.
Can I attend the congress without staying at the congress hotel?
No. WorldLeish8 is hosted at Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek, an ultra all-inclusive hotel. Because the hotel operates on a fully closed all-inclusive system, external guests are not permitted to enter the hotel premises. All participants must stay at the congress hotel. Those who have not made an accommodation reservation through the registration process will not be able to access the congress venue.

When and where will WorldLeish8 be held?
The 8th World Leishmaniasis Congress (WorldLeish8) will be held in Antalya, Türkiye, from April 6-10, 2027.
Who should attend WorldLeish8?
WorldLeish8 welcomes researchers, clinicians, public health professionals, students, and industry representatives working in leishmaniasis and related fields. Anyone interested in the latest developments in leishmaniasis research and control is encouraged to attend.
What is the official language of the congress?
The official language of WorldLeish8 is English. All presentations, abstracts, and official communications will be in English.
Participant Portal
What is the Participant Portal?
The Participant Portal is a personalized online space for all registered congress participants. Through the portal, you can: submit abstracts and track your submission status; manage your congress registration details; view your reservation details including room type and accommodation dates; access your payment history and view your invoice details; and receive official notifications from the organizing committee.
How do I access the Participant Portal?
You can access the portal at worldleish8.org/Participant/Login using the credentials created during your congress registration. If you have forgotten your password, click the 'Forgot password?' link on the login page to reset it via your registered email address.
Do I need to create a separate account for the portal?
No. Your Participant Portal account is automatically created when you complete your congress registration. You do not need to sign up separately — simply use the email address and password you provided during registration to log in.
Can I submit and track my abstract through the portal?
Yes. Once logged in, you can submit your abstract, monitor its review status, and receive notifications about the outcome directly through the Participant Portal. All submission-related updates will be communicated via the portal and to your registered email address.
What should I do if I cannot log in to the portal?
First, use the 'Forgot password?' option on the login page to reset your password. Make sure you are using the email address provided during registration. If the issue persists, please contact the organizing committee at info@worldleish8.org for assistance.
Can I access my payment details and download my invoice through the portal?
Yes. Once logged in to the Participant Portal, you can view a full summary of your registration and accommodation reservation, review your payment history, and view your invoice details. If you require a corrected or customized invoice, please contact us at info@worldleish8.org.
Registration
When will registration open?
Registration is expected to open in 01 June 2026. Pre-registration is currently available to express your interest and receive updates about the congress.
What is included in the registration fee?
Registration includes access to all scientific sessions, exhibition area, congress materials, coffee breaks, and the welcome reception. Details about the social program and additional events will be announced later.
Are there reduced fees for students?
Yes, reduced registration fees will be available for students with valid student ID. Details about fee categories will be announced when registration opens.
Travel & Visa
Do I need a visa to enter Türkiye?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Please check the official Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs website or your country's embassy for the most up-to-date visa requirements. Invitation letters for visa purposes can be requested through the congress secretariat.
